With Hurricane Irene keeping the city indoors this weekend, I decided to take on a wedding project. Using packaging paper, construction paper, manila envelopes and brown paper bags, I made tons of flowers that I can sprinkle around as decoration. I taped a couple of the flowers to bendy metal wires and fashioned myself a quirky, fun bouquet! I think this a great money-saving alternative to fresh flowers for my wedding. Hooray!

Miranda and Jon engagement shoot in Gantry Park
I love it when I get a fun couple in a fun location! Plenty of couples love shooting at all of the typical places, but Miranda is one of the brave brides-to-be who wanted her engagement photos in a unique spot — and I love the results!
Miranda and Jon spinning around a light pole, wheee!
Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City, Queens is an awesome spot for photos. Check out the view of the Manhattan skyline! And the Pepsi-Cola sign!

Anya and Victor's dance party wedding!
Anya and Victor's wedding was dance-tastic! The newlyweds grooved to a salsa as their first dance and the jumping and jiving lasted all night.
